Investment objective
The investment objective of the AIF is to provide a positive return and long-term capital growth for investors with a long-term investment horizon. It seeks to generate capital growth over the longer term while accepting higher volatility.
Investment strategy
The AIF's main focus is investment in cryptocurrencies, digital assets and tokens of any kind (Direct Digital Assets), supplemented by other liquid financial instruments (Liquid FI) that may or may not be linked to crypto or digital assets. Allocation within the selected Direct Digital Assets and within Liquid FI is at the portfolio manager's sole discretion.
Direct Digital Assets may include well-known investments, particularly market leaders by overall market capitalisation or particular use cases. The AIF may therefore pursue a concentrated strategy with only a few investments, increasing volatility and associated risks. Eligible Direct Digital Assets are limited to those available for purchase through the Depositary Bank, and that universe is expected to expand over time.
Liquid FI may include investments in crypto mining companies, crypto exchange platforms, crypto ETFs or ETPs, and actively managed certificates with crypto exposure. These investments are made through transferable securities or financial instruments and may carry risks and returns comparable to Direct Digital Assets.
Risk and suitability
The fund explicitly accepts elevated volatility in pursuit of long-term capital growth. Digital asset prices can fall sharply and quickly, and the regulatory environment for crypto continues to evolve. The strategy is suitable only for professional investors who can absorb significant drawdowns and who are not relying on this allocation for capital preservation or income.
The fund is in subscription and is not intended for retail distribution. Professional investors can review the latest official prospectus and subscription form through the LAFV fund listing.
